 ANNUAL FALL YARD SALE

  October 18 – October 19

(rain dates October 25 & October 26)

As posted in our September/October 2025 edition of the

Birchwood Beat newsletter, our Annual Fall Yard Sale is

scheduled for next weekend!

This is a great opportunity to clean out your closets,

drawers, cabinets and  basement storage areas!

In efforts to have a more structured and consolidated yard

sale location, you may want to consider setting up a table

on the sidewalks of Wilshire between the entrances of the

first parking lots and the entrance of our community, turning

in from Oakdale/Bohemia Road. This may be beneficial in

attracting more buyers and potentially increasing profits for

each participant.

Whether you choose to set up closest to your unit or near

the entrance, it would be neighborly to encourage shoppers

to look for other sellers along Wilshire Lane within our

community.

Table positions are on a first come, first serve basis and

cannot be reserved in advance.

HAPPY SELLING! ☺

Thank you to all who donated to the

Birchwood’s “First Annual Food Drive” in honor of Hunger Action Month (September). As a Community, we have collected and donated a total of 416 pounds of food (equivalent to approximately 346 meals) to Long Island Cares. Our donations will go towards hunger relief efforts across Long Island. Thank you again for your generosity!

Be sure to check out our photo section to see the results up close…..

Quick Reminders when visiting our webpage

  1. We have had discussions for a Community Blood Drive & a Red Cross Training Course. More information to follow as we finalize dates and community interest.
  2. All of the new Community Bulletin Boards have been installed in all Laundry Rooms and in the Party Room. A phot of the bulletin board can be found posted under photos Please, Let’s keep the boards neat. A lot of effort and work was put into this project for all shareholders. Thanks to our board member and maintenance department for making this possible.
  3. Please keep our Laundry Room Doors locked. It is not a good practice to prop doors open with chairs, wet floor signs etc. If you do… THEN Please close and make sure the door is locked after you leave.

These are some highlights of what’s to come.

Special thanks to the directors that have been working hard planning these events…..
